Adult Summer Reading Program
Enter for the chance to win gift certificates to local restaurants and shops by reading this summer! How? Two easy steps:
  1. Check out and read/listen to/watch books, books on CD, DVDs, e-books, e-audio books, magazines.
  2. Log your progress online by registering for the summer reading program here, or come to the library and fill out a paper raffle ticket and drop it into the bowl at the Circulation Desk.
Get a raffle ticket for attending any Rodgers event, and TEN raffle tickets when you donate blood at our blood drive on July 31!
All registered participants will receive a coupon for a FREE book at the Friends of the Library Second Hand Prose Book Sale (see below for date and time).

The Adopted, the Illegitimate and DNA

Join professional genetic genealogist Mike Maglio as he g uides us through a process using autosomal DNA to identify biological parents and missing family tree links. He will explain that it takes traditional genealogy, DNA and a little detective work to help an adoptee find their biological parents.

Zendalas & Renaissance Tiles

Zentangle is easy to learn and fun to do. Join certified Zentangle teacher and life coach Diane MacKinnon for two introductory workshops to the art of Zentangle.
July 17 : Introduction to Zendalas , a mandala made using the Zendala method.
July 23 : Introduction to Renaissance Tiles . Use black and white to portray light and shadow on toned paper.

50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing
Saturday, July 20
It's been 50 years since Neil Armstrong first set foot on the moon, and the Rodgers library is celebrating this epic milestone with a showing of the new Apollo 11 documentary at 10am, with never-before-seen footage.
There will also be:
  • Moon-themed snacks
  • Moon craft for kids from 10-noon
  • Door prizes! Everyone attending will be automatically entered to win an Apollo 11 door prize!
Red Cross Blood Drive
Wednesday, July 31

Did you know that one blood donation can save up to three lives? Be a hero - give blood! Donors will receive 10 raffle tickets towards the adult summer reading program raffles.
