We hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July!
As we come to the end of a short week following the long weekend, the Cabrera Coastal team wishes you all happiness and health for the Summer of 2021. We hope you had a great Independence Day celebrating America with family and friends!
A Note From Cabrera Property Management Regarding The Florida Condominium Collapse
First and foremost, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones and/or their homes in this terrible tragedy.

It appears that there were known structural defects to this building which were identified in 2018. Many of our Cape May County managed properties are oceanfront and similarly exposed to similar conditions.

We are fully aware of the impacts that an environment has on structures, and this horrific event shall further reinforce the use of engineers for projects and reviews in order to preserve the structural integrity and common areas of our managed properties. Cabrera Property Management always makes the recommendation to use an engineer and other professionals for reserve studies, preventive and capital projects in addition to encouraging the building of reserves through a funding plan.

We ask all condominium property owners and board members to, at the very least, schedule a structural review, especially if you have an older building. The safety of our community is always our #1 priority and board members are charged with taking on this responsibility. In turn, that board should be held in high regard despite the unwillingness at times to spend money by the owners/association.

In the meantime, if we can be of any help, please do not hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,
Don Cabrera
