Summervibes 2017 in the historic district of Ybor City was very successful. We received so much positive feedback, which has forced us to do it here again. This year’s event on 7th avenue will spread from 15th Street to 20th Street. The limelight, sponsors, and vendors will be on 7th avenue and the adjacent side streets. All other spectators will park in surrounding parking lots and especially in the Ybor City parking garage. All local restaurants and businesses will be aware of the event and will welcome us. ILDS will have a main hub for the event where we will host with a DJ, giveaways, scavenger hut games, drink specials, cigar bar, restrooms, and more. We truly hope you consider this event and come out for a great time.

Join the History Center for a guided tour of historic Ybor City. This 90-minute outdoor walking tour is led by a History Center-trained docent and focuses on the founding and development of Ybor City in the late 19th century early 20th century.
Tour the streets of Tampa’s only National Historic Landmark District and learn about the people, social life and work culture of early Ybor. You’ll see mutual aid societies, the Ybor Cigar Factory and other key landmarks, and hear the stories behind one Florida’s oldest and most unique communities.

On July 15th we welcome the one and only DJ MISTER CEE aka The Finisher to ODS for what is sure to be one for the books. Mister Cee's name has been a staple in the hip hop scene for over 30 years with Executive Producer credits on Biggie's "Ready To Die" as well as being Big Daddy Kane's DJ. Hop on board for the History Center's first-ever history bus tour!
From Hyde Park to Ballast Point, Ybor City to downtown, historian Fred Hearns leads this four-hour exploration of some of Tampa's most historic neighborhoods.
We'll gather at the Centro Asturiano building in Ybor City before boarding an air-conditioned passenger bus to learn about the original neighborhoods, classic architecture and unique personalities that made Tampa into the city it is today.
The tour will make an on-your-own lunch stop at Taste of Boston at the Ballast Point pier. Enjoy lunch there or bring a bag lunch and have lunch in the park.
