Cincinnati Parks Foundation receives 4-stars!

We are thrilled to announce that Cincinnati Parks Foundation has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator !

This is their highest possible rating and indicates that our organization adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way.

Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that Cincinnati Parks Foundation exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in our area of work. We are so proud and beyond grateful.
Volunteer Spotlight
This month's volunteer spotlight is on Emma Bushman. We were fortunate enough to have Emma work as an intern at Cincinnati Parks Foundation for the last two months, and saying she was amazing is putting it mildly! She volunteered her time to help wherever was needed and all of us here are so thankful.

Emma's family has always been a huge fan of Cincinnati Parks. Her favorite park is Smale Riverfront Park. She remembers going downtown when she was younger and wondering where all of the trees were. "That's why it's so wonderful to see all the beautiful greenery growing along the riverfront row." When thinking about how to spend her time before college, it seemed like a natural fit to tie her non-profit experience and her love of the parks together.

Speaking of non-profits, when she was seven years old, she and her twin sister, along with a little help from their mom, started the ' Bake Me Home ' non-profit, which has a goal of promoting shared family experiences. They give tote bags full of cookie mix and baking supplies to local families moving out of homeless/domestic violence shelters as well as to food pantries. They also share cookies with both active duty military overseas and local veterans. Just like the parks, they value their volunteers tremendously and have over 500 amazing volunteers every year to help make their mission possible.

Emma will be part of The Gatton School of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky starting in the fall. When not enjoying the parks, or volunteering her time, Emma loves to play the flute and cello. We thank you, Emma, and will miss seeing you at the office. UK is lucky to have you!

This will be the world's first interactive sculpture.
