New: Construction progress on our Ronald McDonald House in Stony Brook

Something big is coming to Suffolk County. Construction is underway at the future site of the Ronald McDonald House at Stony Brook Children's! This new House will feature 30 bedrooms, respite and common spaces, as well as kitchens, play areas, and remote work stations.

Whether a family lives 10 minutes away from the hospital or two hours away, every family deserves to stay with their hospitalized child. Planned to open by the end of 2027, the Ronald McDonald House at Stony Brook will provide 24/7 support, comfort, and care to families next to Suffolk County's only children's hospital.

Watch: The Hofmann Family Survives Crash

When a drunk driver hit Wendy, Lance and their 13 year-old son Luke head-on, the family was air-lifted to the hospital where they stayed for over a month. Ronald McDonald House kept them together. Here is their story.

Cooking with Love

Community member Shoma R. brought her family to cook dinner! Shoma's mom stayed here too, over 30 years ago, when the effects of cancer hit her family. Thank you, Shoma!

Thank you to Board Member Anthony Esernio for bringing your TD Bank team to the Ronald McDonald House for a day of service. Their team prepared a delicious brunch—with teddy bear chefs, too!
