Family House celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, and because of friends like you, we have served more than 75,000 families since 1981! Each night, Family House provides up to 80 families with temporary housing and a supportive community, always 100% free of charge. 

Whether you donate through a check or credit card, donor-advised funds, a will or trust, or a donation of toys and essentials, your contribution makes a difference!
Cabernet for Connoisseurs: Call for Volunteers!
We’re getting ready to welcome everyone back to the Silverado Resort & Spa in Napa for our flagship event, Cabernet for Connoisseurs on September 10. We need volunteers 21+ to help make it a big success!

Now in its 26th year, this evening is a special celebration featuring incredible wines and a gourmet dinner, alongside a curated live auction with once in a lifetime experiences, live music, and so much more.

Karen Banks brings her own brand of sparkle to the Family House family as our wonderful Chief of Community Engagement. Karen welcomes volunteers and community partners with an ever-present smile that inspires everyone to bring their talent and treasure for the benefit of our families.

The Family House community pillars of care, comfort, and courage continue to grow because of Karen’s open-hearted hospitality. Congratulations on 10 successful years, Karen!
Congratulations to Khaya Jacques of San Francisco on her efforts to raise money for Family House. For her recent Bat Mitzvah (Mitzvah Project) she decided to raise money for the kids and families staying with us. She exceeded her fundraising goal and has raised more than $6,000! Thank you, Khaya, for honoring this milestone by supporting Family House!
Family House is excited to announce the inaugural High School Volunteer of the Year Award has been awarded to Sawyer Davis, of Marin County. He has been volunteering for the last four years raising money, holding toy drives, serving dinners, and interning with our operations team. Thank you, Sawyer, for your dedication to Family House!
Welcome High School Volunteers

Our Summer high school volunteer program is off to a hot start! Last week, Volunteer Program Manager Tarence Dixon virtually welcomed 11 awesome students who want to make a difference in the lives of our families. Over the next 6 weeks, these students will engage with families, collaborate with peers and Family House staff, and assist with administrative and event support.

Family House continues to be open during the COVID-19 health crisis. Though we are operating with a significantly smaller staff and have suspended nearly all volunteer activities, we are committed to maintaining our mission of providing compassionate care and dignity to families in need.
