ISHOF at Olympic Swimming Trials
Thanks to Matt Farrell and our friends at USA Swimming, ISHOF created a historical exhibition for the Aquazone, inside the CenturyLink
Center, where the USA Swimming Olympic Trials were held.
ISHOF celebrated 100 years of American swimming legends starting with Annette Kellerman to 2016 honorees Dara Torres and Aaron Peirsol. (At left, ISHOF Board Chair Donna DeVarona with the legends.) We also helped celebrate the 40 year reunion of the 1976 USA Swimming Olympic Team as well as promoting "The Last Gold", the story of the USA women's 4 x 100m gold medal winning freestyle relay, which included, ISHOF honorees, Shirley Babashoff and Jill Sterkel as well as Wendy Boglioli and Kim Peyton.
ISHOF's display included memorabilia from the 1976 Games and many of the US team members, including Wendy Boglioli (at right) stopped by the exhibit to sign the 1976 banner, that was made specifically for the event. It was great to see so many ISHOF honorees, Olympians, friends and family of ISHOF.
