What a wonderful July! With the gorgeous weather and calm waters, this month has been the idealistic picture of summer. This addition contains the July dredging update video, our fireworks show recap, and a fun upcoming event!

In this July dredging update video, District Manager Adam Casey highlights where we are with the current dredging project, the next moves, and a snapshot the future financial needs and funding strategy.

Reminder - Active Dredging

The dredging project will continue into August, so please be cautious in east bay of Lake Lemon. Safe vessel crossing can be made between the two green marked buoys. Use caution and travel at slow speeds when crossing. The pipeline will periodically be floating even at the crossing. When the dredge is moved to a new area, the pipe must be floated to allow for mobility. It is imperative you visually inspect the crossing anytime you pass through. Generally, moving the barge takes less than an hour, so if the pipeline is floating at the marked channel crossing, please take a lap and check back. Thank you for your patience as we continue to reclaim and enhance our safe boating areas.

2024 Fireworks Show Recap

What an awesome fireworks show we had this year! The above photos were taken by freeholder Bruce McLaren who always does an amazing job capturing the show. It's always a wonderful site seeing all the boats anchored with lights on the lake and Riddle Point Park full of people. The LLCD would like to thank those that contributed to the fireworks. This year over $12,000.00 was raised which covers the cost of the show and the event infrastructure. Approximately $4,000.00 was raised by the freeholders and $8,000.00 from day of event admission.
