Certified Forest Therapy Guide, Maureen Stine, and author of Grass Left Standing: A Park Interpreter's Road Map to Forest Bathing will lead us in a restorative exploration in nature. This somatic practice is part of a global effort to tend to the stressful conditions of living in a modern industrialized society. The guided sequence of forest bathing combines rest and wandering, interspersed with facilitated group gathering and solo time. This unique opportunity to learn about the health benefits of nature escape - letting go of time and fully immersing in the experience of "being here now" is open to adults. Participants are encouraged to dress in comfortable outdoor footwear and clothing along with a hat and sunglasses. Bring a water bottle if you'd like and something to sit on if you care to sit. Registration is required, call (231)627-2381 to register. There is no fee to attend. We hope you will join us for this unique experience! | | | | | The mission of the Cheboygan Area Public Library is to provide quality materials and services which fulfill the educational, informational, cultural and recreational needs of the entire community in an atmosphere that is welcoming, respectful and professional. | | |
