Leadership Oshkosh Presents Oshkosh Fire Department with Check

The Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce Leadership Oshkosh class of 2018 ran a trivia contest, raffles and silent auction earlier this year that netted $11,000.00 in support of the Oshkosh Fire Department.

On June 28, the 2018  Leadership Oshkosh Class presented an $11,000 check to the  Oshkosh Fire Department  to purchase infrared saunas for their stations. These saunas have been shown to quickly and safely remove deadly cancer-causing toxins from the body, which firefighters and paramedics risk exposure to every day.

"Really we couldn't have had this as a potential opportunity without Leadership Oshkosh, " said Chief Michael Stanley of the Oshkosh Fire Department. "Without Leadership Oshkosh this is something that would have been very far off on the horizon." Battalion Chief Dan Mrochek, a 2018 LO class member explained the importance of the saunas and the class jumped on the fundraising project.
