Growth 🌱 Spotlight

Just as gardens flourish in June, recovery housing in New Hampshire is experiencing growth and renewal. This month, we celebrate three organizations that have expanded their roots and strengthened their commitment to providing safe, supportive, and certified recovery residences:

Harbor Care has added Hamilton Street in Nashua to their certified portfolio, offering a new home for individuals on their recovery journey.

Your Path Recovery is growing strong with the purchase and opening of a second certified men's home, also in Nashua—doubling their capacity and deepening their community impact.

White Mountain Recovery Homes continues to blossom, achieving certification for one of their graduate homes.

Like a well-tended garden, these homes offer structure, nurturing, and space to grow. We applaud these organizations for cultivating recovery across New Hampshire this June!

New Training Page Now Live: Practical Tools for Recovery Homes

NHPRR is building a library of low- and no-cost trainings tailored to the real-world needs of recovery housing in New Hampshire. When we learn together, we grow stronger, and that strength leads to sustainable growth and resilience.

We’ve added a new resource to our training page featuring the recent New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office training. This webinar helps recovery home owners and operators understand fire safety standards and the exemption waiver process and includes real-world guidance on inspections, variance requests, and common compliance issues.

At NHPRR, we know that knowledge is power and our goal is to make quality, practical training easy to access. Whether it’s developed in-house or shared from trusted partners, each training we post is chosen to support the people doing the work: home operators, peers, providers, and community allies.

Growing Strong Through Summer:

Staying Rooted in Recovery This 4th of July

As we celebrate summer and the spirit of independence, it’s also a time to nurture your recovery and stay grounded in community. Just as a garden thrives with care, consistency, and the right environment, your recovery can flourish with a few thoughtful choices this holiday:

  • Stay connected – Surround yourself with others in recovery or people who support your goals.
  •  Have a plan – Whether it’s attending a meeting before the fireworks or bringing your own beverages to a cookout, prep helps you stay rooted.
  • Know your triggers – Avoid situations that feel risky and honor your boundaries
  • Create new traditions – Bonfires, outdoor games, or hosting a sober BBQ can be just as joyful and even more meaningful.

This 4th of July, give yourself the freedom to grow strong, stay present, and bloom in recovery. 🌼
