JULY 2020
It's official: CCYP’s 2020 Back to Business Bash , originally scheduled for September, will be looking very different than in years past!

We are excited to share that we will NOT be cancelling the event outright, but will instead be creating a new, "reimagined" version of the Bash we all know and love.

Our all-volunteer Back to Business Bash Steering Committee has been busy developing a fun and exciting event concept that will keep the spirit of the Bash going while also keeping the health and safety of YOU - our friends, colleagues, and supporters - top of mind. Stay tuned to our social media channels for the big announcement - coming soon!
We're looking for examples of businesses and organizations that have changed course, introduced new products or services, and generally "pivoted" during the COVID-19 pandemic and related closures.

Do you have a story to share with us? Hit us up for a chance to be featured on CCYP's social media (now at nearly 10,000 followers)!
Meet the trained, professional coaches behind CCYP's new Laser-Focused Coaching Program!

Now on the CCYP blog, read about the expertise in leadership, organizational change, communications coaching, and more brought to the table by coaches Polly Goddard (top left), Deb Kennedy (middle left), and Sue Johnson (bottom left).

CCYP's Laser-Focused Coaching Program provides confidential, one-to-one, 30-minute coaching sessions to address a key issue or challenge you are facing, whether personal or professional. The 12-week pilot program was developed in response to the increased need CCYP has seen for both work-related and personal support for young professionals on Cape Cod during the COVID-19 crisis.

If you've lost employment, are struggling to balance work and home responsibilities, or are just wondering what's next for you, a trained coach can help you talk through options and come up with a plan to keep moving forward.

Ready to set up your first coaching session? Sessions are FREE for CCYP members (max of 3 sessions per person), and available to non-members for a suggested donation of just $5 per session.

NEW! EPISODE 05: Advocating for Ourselves

It's no secret that living on Cape Cod as a young person in your 20s, 30s, or even 40s can be challenging - from finding year-round housing, to locating good career opportunities, to affording childcare and other living costs, the obstacles can seem overwhelming. One of CCYP's biggest priorities is to empower Cape Cod's working age young adults to get involved in local decision-making processes and make sure their needs are taken into account - whether through volunteer service, advocacy, voting, or running for public office. But how do you get started with advocacy, and really make a difference? Join us for a chat with Cape locals Noelle Pina, Tamora Israel, and Stefanie Coxe - all active in civic engagement and advocacy on Cape Cod - to learn how you can overcome the intimidation factor and advocate for the needs of young people living and working in our region. NEW! EPISODE 06: Housing on Cape Cod

In this final episode of our initial 6-part 'Shaping the Cape' video podcast series, we discuss how and why the lack of attainable, year-round housing has been a barrier to retaining and attracting a young workforce community on Cape Cod. CCYP CEO Lauren Barker is joined by the CEO of Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC), Alisa Magnotta, and the CEO of the Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors (CCIAOR), Ryan Castle, to talk about housing trends locally and nationwide and provide updates on some of the tools and policy efforts being deployed by their organizations and others to ensure that the Cape has safe, attainable, year-round housing opportunities for all. Thanks to Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors for sponsoring this episode!
