The Village Celebrates Summer Fest
Waveny's Therapeutic Recreation team hosted Summer Fest for our residents in The Village featuring DJ Ed Train, magic by The Great Sirico, indoor games, ice cream and homemade churros specially prepared by our talented chefs. A highlight of the event was being able to include our fully vaccinated volunteers to join in the fun!
Tiki Party at The Inn
On Friday, June 25th residents at The Inn celebrated the opening of their newly renovated patio with a Tiki Party. Residents, family members and staff had a wonderful time enjoying the new outdoor space with food, drinks, dancing and entertainment from Deuces Wild Entertainment. The tropical celebration was enjoyed by all!
Hospice Volunteers to Launce 11th Hour Program
Visiting Nurse and Hospice volunteers are preparing to launch a new program called 11th Hour. For patients transitioning to end of life, nurses will be able to call specially trained volunteers who will provide a compassionate, calming and comforting presence for the patient and family when death is near. This will augment the already robust and much valued hospice program which is a hallmark of our organization. 
Main Street Salon is Opened for Business!
We are pleased to announce that the Salon on Main Street in The Village has re-opened for business following a recent renovation. All of our residents will be looking and feeling wonderful after fresh new haircuts!
New Canaan Sidewalk Sale, July 16 & 17
Look for us at the New Canaan Sidewalk Sale this weekend! Our VNHFC team will be offering free blood pressure screenings, then amble over to the New Canaan Thrift Shop where the first 100 visitors to the Thrift Shop will receive a free re-useable shopping bag. It's the perfect way to carry home your sidewalk sale purchases.
