The mid-summer heat has finally arrived and summer is in full swing.  I hope you are all able to find time to enjoy the lakes and the outdoors in these next few months. 

 

In June, we hosted the first Joint Public Policy meeting.  Thank you to Jarrod Peterson as public Policy Chair for his hard work in organizing this.  Senator Karin Housley joined us to give us a policy update regarding the recent legislative session. Our thanks to Senator Housley for updating us on all that passed and what didn't pass as well.  We all have a vested interest as it relates to caring for our seniors!

 

As is tradition, the MASWA board will be meeting later this month to make plans for the upcoming year.  If you have suggestions or concerns, now is a great time to bring any items forward for us to talk about.  Please reach out to me as soon as possible if you would like me to add something to our agenda for our discussion.
