Paul wrote, “Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!” — Romans 12:16 (NLT)
It seems that some of the same challenges churches face today in getting people to live and work together in harmony also existed in the early church.
I recently read an interesting story about a baby hippo that was orphaned by a tsunami. After being rescued, it was taken to a wildlife park. Traumatized and alone, the young hippo found comfort in the companionship of a 130-year-old giant tortoise. The tortoise accepted the frightened hippo, and the two became inseparable for years until they eventually had to be separated because the hippo had grown so large that it could unintentionally injure its elderly friend. They were even given names: Owen and Mzee.
If these two very different animals could live together in harmony, how much more should we, as people created in the image of God and seeking to become more like Jesus Christ, accept our differences and live in harmony within the church. Our unity in Christ should always be greater than our differences.

Pray for Venezuela
Two Ways to Give
| |
Two powerful earthquakes struck northern Venezuela on June 24, killing more than 2,200 people, with the death toll expected to rise as recovery efforts continue. More than 40,000 people remain missing, and thousands of rescue workers continue searching through collapsed buildings and debris. The disaster has left thousands of families homeless, forcing many to seek refuge in emergency shelters while churches and aid organizations provide food, water, and other essential relief. Please pray and give to help this enormous need.
Missions Door
Our partner ministry, Missions Door, has set up a special fund to receive donations. Give on the website and designate Venezuela Relief - 93310R. Missions Door Venezuela Relief Fund

PCN Church Planting in SoCal
Love Church San Diego & Rhythm Church Los Angeles
| |
Pacific Church Network's two newest church plants are doing great! Pastor Matt Perry of Love Church in San Diego has reached a new milestone of averaging 100 in attendance for six consecutive weeks! This June, Love Church had a series featuring four different speakers to encourage, challenge, and inspire, each bringing a unique perspective and powerful message centered on Jesus.
Pastor Raymond Rojas is leading Rhythm Los Angeles, planting in Paramount, CA. They have officially started their Sunday gatherings and are heading into Week 3. They are seeing people gathering, new relationships being built, and the foundation being laid for what God has in store. One of their biggest answers to prayer is that they have secured a 5,000 square foot facility to rent!!! Their official Launch Sunday is October 4th, which means they are just 15 Sundays away from launching publicly as a church.
Please pray for these church planters and their growing ministries.

Churches Planting in Argentina
See the Journey of one Pastor from Guatemala to Argentina
| | This is another network of churches in CB Global that is doing God's work in Argentina. God is working all around the world. Pacific Church Network would love to connect a local church in America with another church outside of America that you can adopt. All that means is that you would pray for them, occasionally give to a need, and even someday go and visit. Pray, Give and Go. Take a look at the video. | |
