The 2021 International Citizen of the Year award event is just around the corner, on September 14th from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.

The evening will honor Dan Coats, American statesman and diplomat.

Jim Morris honored with Sachem Award
Gov. Eric J. Holcomb honored civic leader James T. Morris of Indianapolis with the 2021 Sachem Award, the state's highest honor, at a ceremony June 25.

Jim Morris is vice chairman of Pacers Sports & Entertainment and has decades of experience in civic, public and private sectors in Indiana and overseas.

He is board member emeritus for The International Center and is the namesake of The Center's Morris Series.

Dan Coats appointed as IU Hamilton Lugar School ambassador at large
Dan Coats joined Indiana University as a distinguished scholar and ambassador at large. The university announced his appointment, along with former senator Evan Bayh, on June 9.

Lee Feinstein said, "Like Senator Lugar before him, Senator Coats will be a terrific asset for students seeking to understand the world, their place in it and how they may affect change."

Contribute to Monumental Voices
Monumental Voices is a civic art project through the City of Indianapolis that amplifies Central Indiana residents’ opinions about four of Downtown Indianapolis' key public spaces.

Stories will be considered both as input for the City of Indianapolis’ Equitable Public Space Planning project with the Department of Metropolitan Development as well as content for a large-scale art installation using the Monument Circle video projection and audio system.
