T he International Center’s Global Impression Award celebrates emerging Indiana leaders whose work impacts the state on a global scale.  Past nominees include professionals in a broad range of industries, including medicine, economic development, education and public service. International Citizen of the Year Update
ICY dinner and program rescheduled to late spring 2021
The International Center has postponed the International Citizen of the Year award dinner and program previously scheduled for September 29, 2020.

Dan Coats, an American statesman and former diplomat, will be honored at the rescheduled ICY event, expected to be held in late spring 2021. Stay tuned for the details of the upcoming event!

Engaging Across Cultures Workshop
Register now for the virtual Engaging Across Cultures workshop on August 26!
Our Engaging Across Cultures workshop is designed to prepare you to succeed in engaging across cultures – whether you’re a seasoned global professional or new to intercultural interactions.

Now offered virtually for the first time, this half-day interactive session features guest speakers, experts and staff from The International Center as you learn alongside fellow professionals and internationalists.

This virtual-only workshop takes place on August 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Peter Kirkwood named new Indiana State Representative for International Sister City Committee
Peter was honored with the Volunteer of the Year award for his involvement with the Indianapolis Sister City International Program in December of 2014.

The International Center's own protocol officer, Peter Kirkwood, has been selected as the new Indiana State Representative for Sister Cities International!

Peter began working with Sister Cities International programs in 2008. By 2010, Peter had assisted the Mayor’s Office of International and Cultural Affairs in establishing and reengaging Indianapolis’ eight Sister Cities programs. He has served on the Indianapolis Sister Cities International Leadership Committee and Indiana Sister Cities International Council since its establishment.  Congrats, Peter!
