ERC's Summer Interns
Meet Kim and Claire, our newest interns!

Kim Kishimoto - Pesticide Action

Kim grew up in Hawaii and graduated from Western
Washington University last spring with a B.S. in Biology/Anthropology. She has worked with programs within her university, such as LEAD, that focus on environmental and community health.

Kim is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and really anything that gets her outside. Through her internship with the ERC, she aims to help others appreciate the environment as much as she does.

Claire Siderman - Recycling Outreach & Action

Claire was born and raised in the Wood River Valley.  Graduating from Community School in 2015, she now attends Quest University Canada in Squamish, BC, and is exploring questions related to the interactions between humans and their ecological environments. Influenced by her surroundings, Claire spends much of her free time outside and enjoying the mountains in many different ways.

As the Recycling Outreach and Action Intern, she is excited not only to be working with the ERC, but with our larger community. She is eager to learn more about what motivates folks to make conscious environmental decisions. Feel free to approach her at any event with questions about recycling in our valley.
Summer EcoCamps
Camps begin next week!

Next week, we begin two weeks of adventure in our overnight EcoCamps over Trail Creek at the Idaho BaseCamp

Camps are designed for rising 5th-9th grade students and work to bring - and keep - our children outdoors, learning, exploring, and reveling in the natural world. Ultimately, we strive to give campers the confidence, tools, and passion to become the next generation of environmental stewards.

We cannot wait to share camps stories and photos with you in August!

Thank you to the Campfire Foundation,
Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Lightfoot Foundation, and Rocky Mountain Hardware for providing scholarship support for the ERC's EcoCamps.
