Camp Good Grief Celebrates 25 Years
For 25 years Camp Good Grief has helped children and teens who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

Camp Good Grief 2021 will be held July 19 -22 at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck in Center Moriches, NY. More than 130 children and teens from across Long Island and the tri-state area are enrolled.

Camp is filled with meaningful activities, extensive therapy, and lots of fun! Smaller groups and an emphasis on enrolling first-time participants help us reach campers most in need of our care. Traditional camp activities are featured daily. Partnerships with other East End organizations, including the Children’s Museum of the East End and other local organizations, expand our resources and make Camp even more memorable.

Camp Good Grief is made possible - and offered free of charge to every camper - because of charitable support from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Special thanks to our Valentine Salon Committee, which has raised more than $2,300,000 for Camp since 2001.

ABOUT CAMP GOOD GRIEF:
Established in 1997 by former CEO Priscilla Ruffin and former Bereavement Coordinator Sarah Zimmerman, Camp Good Grief is a weeklong day camp that interweaves a specially designed therapeutic curriculum with traditional camp activities. Licensed therapists and trained bereavement volunteers lead campers through various activities – group therapy, structured play, art, and music – designed to give children the tools necessary to cope with loss.

For more information about Camp Good Grief or Child/Teen bereavement programs, please contact Children's Bereavement Coordinator and Camp Good Grief Director Angela Byrns at 631.288.1546.

Wendy Meyers Awarded Suffolk County Healthcare Hero, District 2.

Congratulations to Nurse Wendy Meyers - a Suffolk County Healthcare Hero! We are so proud of you and thank you for improving the well-being of our community, the Tuckahoe School community and the patients and families of East End Hospice.

In March 2021, the Suffolk County Legislature approved a resolution sponsored by Legislator Anthony Piccirillo to recognize a healthcare hero from each legislative district every June as part of Healthcare Heroes Month.
We missed our June Events this summer!

While East End Hospice's benefits remain paused until August, we want to thank the dedicated friends who champion our cause throughout the year to raise funds and awareness for EEH. To donate now, click here.
