PROGRAM UPDATES

Federal Way High School & ANEW

During the 2021-2022 school year, ANEW has supported Federal Way High School by sending our Shop Instructors to provide guidance regarding what and it truly means to run a pre-apprenticeship.

This summer, ANEW partnered with Federal Way High School to run a 7-week stipend pre-apprenticeship for young adults ages 16-21. They will receive hands-on training, experience job site visits and apprenticeship tours, build projects, and earn building trades certificates. They will be supported with soft skills such as mock interviews with industry partners, creating resumes, and learning what it takes to be successful in the building trades.

We are excited here at ANEW to offer these young adults an opportunity to gain skills and expose them to a pathway to a career in construction.
