Summer in the Square!
Head down to Brampton’s vibrant public square to enjoy daily programming and family-friendly activities, all summer long. Take in diverse arts and culture, live entertainment, movie nights, local artists, sporting events on the impressive LED screen, special events, and much more. Located downtown at Main and Queen Streets, Garden Square is the place to drop by and enjoy the season to the fullest.

Garden Square features World Cup live broadcasts, from the group stages through to the final match on July 15. Brampton’s first Pride celebration happens in the Square on July 8, with family-friendly entertainment, performers, music, and more Grab your cowboy hat and boots and head down for Stomp N’ Stampede on July 22. New this year, Parks N’ Wreck offers free workshops, street dance battles, and social dancing on August 12. And a city favourite, the East Coast Kitchen Party, returns August 26. All Maritimers and Mainlanders alike are invited to come celebrate the culture of the East Coast, including entertainment, activities, and delicious food. [more...]

The Rose kicks off

Franceschini Bridge now open
The bridge that went nowhere is now a vital connection over Highway 410, linking east and west Brampton for pedestrians and cyclists. It is now a part of the 40 km loop connecting the award-winning Esker Lake Trail. The bridge’s colourful, artistic mural is the first of its kind in Ontario.
