This summer is going by so fast, soon we will be into fall.

LUNCH BOX BUDDY PROGRAM

The Lunch Box Buddy program has taken full steam thanks to all of you who have donated. We still have a month to go. It is wonderful to see the response of the community to the needs of our children. Be a part of the solution to child hunger and check out the Lunch Box Buddy Program on our website.

Thank you to these new sponsors: Brighton Lions Club and Michael Hatty!

PANTRY UPDATES

If you haven’t stopped by the pantry lately – PLEASE COME BY.

Tracy Davis (a member of 2/42) had two small groups join forces and laid out a plan to refurbish the clothing department, fruit and vegetable department and the staging area for grocery pick up. They gave the proposal to the Outreach Funding (Michelle Ounanian) for approval and viola. They were on their way to transform the front half of Bountiful Harvest. It is WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, FUNCTIONAL.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We have kept the pantry closed to clients coming in due to how much we have grown and outgrown the pantry building. We are in tight quarters and in order to have the food and clothes available, we have had to remain closed.

We are in desperate need of the following:

Tuesday: Grocery shopping (in our building), check out.

Wednesday: Kitchen, Grocery shopping check out

Thursday: Morning Shift - Kitchen, Grocery shopping (in our building)

Friday: both shifts - Grocery shopping (in our building), afternoon shift - check out and front desk

Saturday morning: Front Desk, Grocery Shopping (in our building), check out the Saturdays that kitchen help is needed.

As you will notice a resounding need for Kitchen help is needed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and the last Saturday of the month.

I know you probably get tired of seeing this; hiowever,, please help us keep our meals going to the seniors, shut-ins, homeless and veteran. We need drivers – Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons 1 – 4 and Saturday 9:30 am - noon.

For questions on volunteering, you can call the office, or sign up to volunteer online!

God Bless,

Yvonne

LUNCH BOX BUDDIES IS OFF TO A GREAT START!!

GDP Landscaping hosted a Lunch Box Buddies food drive at their beautiful new location @ 800 Rickett Rd in Brighton, and they provided hundreds of pounds of food to help us feed local children this summer! Colin and his team are amazing and will continue to accept donations.

Apex Physical Therapy of Brighton has just kicked off their Lunch Box Buddies food drive! They will be collecting lunch box items from July 10th - Sept 1st. We truly appreciate their support!

We also want to send a BIG THANK YOU to Coldwell Banker Towne and Country Real Estate, Lyon Dental, and HH Barnum for their support as well!

We honestly could NOT do what we do without the support of our community.

If you have a group, team, club or troop that would like to hold a Food Drive or partner with us for another event please email Vanessabountifulharvest@yahoo.com.

I know I have mentioned Password security before, but I wanted to share the chart below and remind everyone that hackers want your info, they will steal your info, and the only thing between you and them is a good secure password. Passwords don’t need to be a series of weird symbols that you can’t remember. Try something like this: $33-spot-RUN (See spot run). That is an example of a complex password phrase that would take approximately 5 million years to hack. With that said DON’T steal it. 😊

Make sure you change your passwords every 6 months or so, keep them secure with a password app on your phone, and don’t use the same password for everything. Certainly, don’t use your Netflix password (that you share) for your Bank account.
