Monthly News & Updates

July | 2023

A note from your President,

Hello Chamber members and friends!

Summer seems to be flying by, but what a fun filled summer it is! We had another successful Crazy Daze on July 26th with lots of shopping, snacking and games enjoyed by all! Speaking of games - this was our first year having a dunk tank! We had 6 nonprofits benefit from their time being dunked!

We are so excited to invite you to Alley Beans on August 8th from 11:30am-12:30pm for Coffee & Conversation! We will be enjoying some delicious Alley Beans coffee and are looking forward to conversations, networking and new ideas!

On Monday, August 14th from 5-7pm, please help us celebrate Central Avenue Healthmart Pharmacy's 34th year in business! There will be refreshments and giveaways!

Hope to see you there!

Penny Wolla, Board President

Crazy Daze was a hot one this year, but we still had a great day. The Dunk Tank that we added this year brought in over $1,000 for local non-profits! There were many local businesses with sales going on, and they had a busy day.

A special thank you to our sponsors! BEK Communications, Puklich, KLJ, Blush Boutique, Grotberg Electric, Dacotah Bank, Brothers III, Bakkegard & Schell, and Nearly Nu.

We would love to hear your feedback on the event, so please reach out to Maria Frerich, Event Coordinator at 701.845.1891 or ofcmgr@valleycitychamber.com

The DMV brings in many people during the week, so it's the perfect spot to get your ads up. The TV isn't up yet, but be sure to get your advertisement in the line-up!

2023 VCSU MARKETPLACE

August 23, 2023- 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

McFarland Lawn

Valley City State University would like to invite clubs, organizations, groups, and the Valley City community’s businesses to participate in the 2023 VCSU Marketplace.

We hope you take part to show new and current VCSU students what the Valley City community and university has to offer! Your display can promote your club, organization, group, or business. You’ll have an opportunity to build connections with both incoming and existing college students, which could lead to future involvement or business! We encourage you to find creative ways to incorporate prize drawings, coupons, or free products into your display to engage students. This year, we’re expecting approximately 200+ incoming freshmen, and hope to draw in older students participating in Welcome Weekend.
