Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce Newsletter
July 2017
President's Message:
It's time for a mid-year checkup.  As we have now reached the halfway point in the year, it is a perfect time to give our individual businesses a checkup.
It's simple...put yourself in your clients' or customers' shoes.

1.  Call your own business and ask yourself: How many rings until someone answered? Did the person answering the call provide an appropriate and welcoming greeting?  Was the automated answering system user-friendly?

2.  Visit your own website and ask yourself: Does it grab your attention?  Is the information current? and is it easy to navigate?

3.  Arrive at your place of business and ask yourself: Can you be easily located?  Is your address visible from the street?  and does it look like you're in business?

Let's keep all of our businesses healthy and successful!
There is a positive buzz around town about Chamber mixers, monthly Business Connection meetings, and events.
With the addition of more networking activities, fun themes, and the Young Professional group the Chamber is gaining a lot of local attention.   We are looking forward to seeing you and your business at the “Caddyshack” mixer THIS Thursday at Indian Creek Country Club – get involved by dressing in your best Caddyshack attire. This upcoming mixer promises to be a lot of fun!

The HEAT was ON...
Brian Hogan-Loomis Self Storage

We’ve been encouraging all the members of the Chamber to get involved with events like the Mixers...like the Eggplant Festival...like the Ribbon Cuttings...like the monthly morning meeting at the Depot (where you get to give a little commercial)...like the Golf Tournament.  Hopefully, if you ENGAGE and CONNECT you will bump into someone that can help you GROW.  It only takes ONE good bump (and your membership can be paid for, for years).

Speaking of the Golf Tournament, The Loomis Chamber Jim Kellner Golf Classic was held on June 23 and it was a BLAST.  Pretty much a golf tournament in a blast furnace, as golfers played nine holes in 100 degrees +.  Did the Loomis business community whimp out in this effort to support the Chamber ??  No WAY.  For the 15th year we honored Jim Kellner, a former Chamber President, who passed too early.

AND... TWENTY-SIX ... yes, 26 ... members were SPONSORS. Talk about a great business community that cares about each other. If you get a chance, do some business with these great local companies.

The Village at Loomis was a major contribution as a Platinum Sponsor.  The Village at Loomis will create an integrated and dynamic mix of shops, work places, housing, civic space and open space for the Loomis town center area.
A special Thank You to Indian Creek aswell for providing the venue, golf carts, and delicious dinner.  If you missed the Golf Tournament come to the "Caddyshack" themed Mixer on July 20th for more golfing fun at Indian Creek.

Not to show off too much...But I just did a quick look and saw that my companies (Loomis Storage + 4LogoGEAR) have done business with 19 of the below Chamber Sponsors.  For us, the Chamber has been great.  Make it great for you too.

Laura Betz, REALTOR

Did you know you should interview your real estate professional? All agents operate differently and with various service levels. Who is right for you? Make an appointment and ask questions. If you are selling: What tools will they use to help price your property, how do they find potential buyers, what are their recommendations in preparing your home, how will paperwork be completed, and much more. Research your potential representation before signing on the dotted line. Hiring the right professional will help make your buying or selling transaction easier.

Hi, I’m Laura, a native Californian and full-time REALTOR® serving Placer County and beyond. My husband and I relocated to this area nearly 20 years ago to raise our family. Proudly, our oldest child graduated with high honors from Del Oro High School this spring. As an active volunteer for school and community, a local business owner, and a local business supporter, I look forward to sharing my knowledge of the area to my clients. Moreover, my team and I look forward to providing exceptional service.

If you or someone you know is seeking assistance for buying or selling real estate, have questions about the process, or need a trusted home-related service, please think of me and the FULL range of HOUSE resources this BETZ can provide. Remember, I’m never too busy for your referrals.
