RENDEZVOUS ROUND UP

First of all, I’d like to thank Sharon, Alex, Joe, Billy and the rest of the Intrepid team for putting on such a tremendous event. Hats off to Ocean Reef Club too, for being such gracious hosts for this latest edition of the Owners Rendezvous.

The celebrations were amazing. The Glow Party Night, Western Night, Sand Bar Raft-Up Party … so many ways to have a good time with friends.

We were also pleased to be able to showcase the new 51 Panacea during the Rendezvous. Our biggest boat yet was a big hit with everyone who took the time to explore our latest Intrepid design. Watch the video newsletter for more details.

IMPORTANT UPDATES

In addition to the celebrations and fun in the sun, Rendezvous attendees also enjoyed exciting updates about our Sales & Service capabilities, our largest boat yet – the new 60 Evolution, and the big announcement about the new Yacht Division factory in Swansboro, NC.

RENDEZVOUS RECOLLECTIONS

I’d like to thank all of those who took part in making our Owners Rendezvous at Ocean Reef Club an amazing and memorable event. Our sponsors and supporters were great as always. Our Intrepid team led by Sharon D’Agostino worked really hard to create a world-class experience for all and succeeded.  But it was your enthusiasm for Intrepid, your boats, boating lifestyle and the Intrepid Nation that really made this an event we’ll never forget.

By the way, the celebrations were out of this world this year. The Sand Bar Raft-Up Party is always a favorite, but everyone seemed to have a blast at the Country Western Party too. Quite a collection of cowboy hats and boots!

NEW IN-HOUSE FINANCING AND INSURANCE

At the Rendezvous, it was a pleasure to announce the expansion and remodel of our Dania Beach sales facility. These improvements will allow us to enhance the sales and service experience for all our customers.

We now have our own in-house finance department for those who choose to use this option to facilitate their purchase. In addition, we can now leverage our strength and industry relationships to help you attain very competitive insurance quotes.

GREAT TIMES AT OCEAN REEF CLUB

Everyone who attended our Rendezvous at the Ocean Reef Club this month had a wonderful time. For me, it was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with our friends who attended and trade stories. During the party we had on Friday night, Ken broke the news about our new factory in North Carolina and how we will build our big boats there. That is very exciting news about what we will be doing in the future. It was nice to have so many members of the Intrepid Nation in one place for the sole purpose of having a fun time!

NEW OWNER'S MANUAL VIDEOS

Mike Plante and I recorded a video owner’s manual last month that explains systems and operation of our 51 Panacea. He is a perfectionist and is incredibly good at asking me to “take it from the top” when he deems my presentation as having room for improvement. It takes a lot of work to put one of these presentations together and Mike truly is the best at making them good. This latest manual is available on our website and is highly informative. I’ve included the chapter from this manual that describes sea strainers and how to clear them at the link below. 

We install similar sea strainers in all our boats, so this information is applicable to all our models. This summer has been a hot one and this can create an abundance of seaweed. Please remember that for all your installed equipment to function properly, it is essential that you have clean raw water strainers. It’s good practice to check them on a very regular basis at this time of the year to make sure that they are clear and allowing raw water to flow into the generator, stabilizer, air conditioning, unit, etc.

NEW BOAT OWNER'S WELCOME KITS

Our friends at DiTEC Marine Products are supplying us with Boat Owner’s Welcome Kits that we will be including with our new boat deliveries. They make a wide array of high-performance, environmentally responsible boat cleaning products. The basics are in the kit that we are sending, information on everything they make can be reviewed at the link to their website below.

NEXT STOP, NEWPORT

The Newport international boat show is right around the corner. We will be showing two of our boats there and look forward to seeing all our friends and customers from the Northeast while we are there. If you are in New England in September, please come to visit.
