Upcoming Store Closures: NOVA Thrift Shop will be closed Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

Christmas in July Media Sale: During the month of July, our books and media department will be holding a Christmas in July Half-Price Sale! All designated holiday hard and soft cover books will be half off, as well as holiday CDs and DVDs.

July's Must-See Silent Auction Treasures! NOVA Thrift Shop’s Silent Auction is known for its one-of-a-kind discoveries, and this month is no exception! Be sure to check out a few of the latest standout additions:

The collection of 37 hardback books about U.S. Presidents continues to draw attention! Bidding has been going strong for weeks, and it’s clear this popular item is a must-have for history lovers and collectors alike.

A pair of matching squirrel lamps is adding a touch of charm and personality to the auction floor and has already caught the eye of several curious bidders.

A vintage rainbow hat from Gimbels brings a fun pop of color and a nostalgic nod to department store history.

We're Always Accepting New Volunteers! Looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community? NOVA Thrift Shop is always on the lookout for dedicated volunteers to help us make a difference! Whether you love sorting unique thrift finds, organizing displays, assisting customers, or working behind the scenes, there’s a place for you on our team. If you are interested in volunteering, you can inquire at the shop or call Maria White, Thrift Shop Manager, at 215-249-8000.

A Reminder Regarding Donations: We’re always grateful for donations and encourage donors to consider the condition of their items, especially hard goods. While we can recycle textiles, unsellable hard goods ultimately need to be disposed of, which impacts our resources. Please note that items with cracks, chips, or other damage can’t be resold. We have the right to reject items if broken, damaged, or heavily soiled.

Heatwave of Hope: NOVA's Christmas in July

This July, you can make a real difference by joining NOVA in celebrating Christmas in July, a month-long giving campaign to support victims of sexual assault and other crimes in our community.

Thanks to revenue from NOVA Thrift Shop, NOVA is able to provide critical services year-round, but sometimes, a little extra help is needed.

Because of recent budget cuts, the items on NOVA’s Wishlist are more important than ever. These items aren’t just “nice to have”... they are essential to helping children and adults feel safe, supported, and cared for during incredibly difficult times in their lives.

By purchasing items from NOVA's Amazon Wishlist, you’re directly contributing to the healing process. Some items, like snacks, coffee, puzzles, and fidget toys, help ease the stress of a visit to NOVA. Others, like Play-Doh, journals, dolls, and art supplies, are tools we use every day when providing trauma-informed services.

Nothing says summer like a carefree beach day. With a little creativity, you can keep it fun, functional, and eco-friendly! This month, we’re challenging you to build a sustainable beach kit using thrifted treasures from NOVA Thrift Shop!

Hunt for oversized totes to carry your gear, colorful towels, sun hats, sunglasses, and reusable water bottles. Look for plastic-free containers for snacks, a good beach read, and maybe even a Bluetooth speaker to round out your setup. Bonus points if you find a thrifted bedsheet or tablecloth to use as a sand-friendly beach blanket!
