THE GARDEN COLLECTIVE ESTABLISHED JUNE 30, 2020
The Garden Collective is a new welcome park and community garden located at 300 East and 100 North in Price, Utah. The ribbon cutting was held on June 30, 2020. The Garden Collective is a welcome new addition to Price City. For many years this property was an eyesore that collected weeds. A very special thanks is given to a collaborative effort between USU-Eastern, Price City, Utah Power Credit Union, SEUALG, Ivory Homes and TreeUtah to get this project completed.

It is anticipated that the Garden Collective will hold concerts, events and be a beautiful social gathering spot within Price City.
Coal Country Writers

USU-Eastern's students know how to write. The University's newspaper, The Eagle, recently won 22 awards at the Utah Press Association's Better Newspaper Contest.

Coworking Space Construction at the Business and Technical Assistance Center (BTAC)
Coworking spaces are a product of the modern era. All that is needed is a WiFi connection and a professional workspace. The Southeastern Utah Business Technical Assistance Center is nearing completion of it's coworking space. To see the progress video click on the image to the left.

Silicon Slopes East Discusses Tech, Business and Opportunities in Coal Country
Members of the community were welcomed to the Business & Technical Assistance Center (BTAC) on Tuesday afternoon to witness a panel of discussion on all things business and the new normal. This discussion was presented by Silicon Slopes East, an organization that is promoting the tech industry in Coal Country.
The Utah Coal Country Strike Team serves the coal communities of Carbon and Emery counties by raising incomes and diversifying the economy. The Strike Team includes a multi-disciplinary team of experts who, with the support of the Utah Legislature and national funder Schmidt Futures, assist with public policies and invest in workforce training, tourism infrastructure, housing revitalization and economic development incentives.
