We hope to see you there! | | New Gift Option for Membership Drive | | | | Our 2026 Membership Drive is still going strong with 55 members who renewed or joined in June! Please help us continue this great momentum toward our goal of 400 memberships this year by joining or renewing here. We are offering a fun new baseball cap gift option if you renew at the Plant ($50) level or higher. We're also hosting a special member-only event next month, so now is a great time to join or renew! Your support helps VegMichigan introduce more Michiganders to eating plant-based, and you will also enjoy fun member benefits. Thanks! | | Register for Special Member Appreciation Lake Party | | Join us for a special VegMichigan Member Appreciation Lake Party to thank supporters for sustaining our programs throughout the year. We will gather at a beautiful lodge and lakefront in Pinckney, MI, on Saturday, August 15, for a fun afternoon for members to hang out, build community, swim, play games, and hear updates on how we are advancing our mission. The event fee is $20 to subsidize the cost of the catered lunch. You can become a member here. Visit here for full event details and to register. Note: If you aren't sure if your membership is current, contact noelle@vegmichigan.org. | |
| Take Action to Protect Animals and Our Food System | | A monumental threat is facing animals! If the Save Our Bacon Act (which is already included in the House Farm Bill) passes, it could destroy hundreds of state and local laws, including prohibitions on the extreme confinement of farm animals and bans on the sale of foie gras. But we still have a chance to stop this dangerous language from being included in the final version of the Farm Bill. One of Michigan’s senators, Senator Elissa Slotkin, serves on the Senate Agriculture Committee, which will soon decide whether the dangerous Save Our Bacon Act is included in the Farm Bill. Our voices as Michiganders are particularly key. | | | Please take action today by calling Senator Slotkin’s office at 202-224-4822. Please politely tell her to OPPOSE the Save Our Bacon Act and inclusion of it—or any language like it—in the Farm Bill. After making your call, please send a quick follow-up email to Senator Slotkin, Senator Gary Peters, and your U.S. House representative. | | Enter This Month's Raffle | | |
