June Lunch at ITAC

The June Monthly Lunch hosted by ITAC in their training center, featured a farewell from Dr. Joe Casey, retired Chesterfield County Administrator: and greetings from sponsor, Primis Bank, Virginia Economic Development Partnership’s new Virginia Intern Program, a preview of Emerson Companies historic tax credit project in downtown Hopewell, and a call to support ITAC’s annual free advanced manufacturing & technology summer experiential learning camp and/or the Chamber’s 25th GOLF OPEN, July 23.

Almost 100 attendees, our largest turn out yet for the chamber monthly lunch (CMO), brought together small business, manufacturing, workforce development and higher ed, elected officials, real estate, construction, insurance, developers, non-profits, banking and financial professionals, entrepreneurs, hospitality and healthcare to enjoy lunch from a local, garner valuable economic development information, and be inspired by the community collaboration and leadership.

Featured left to right: Kerrick Loyd, Smurfit Westrock; Kelli Vance, Brown Edwards, Vincent Turner, TriCities Hospital, Billy Nahrebecki, Dominion Energy, Brandon Butterworth, Community Foundation; Alex Olivieri Rodriguez, Woodpeckers Plaques & Crafts; Katelinn Davis, Richard Bland College; Lee Bujakowski, Marks and Harrison; Hal Hamner, Atlantic Constructors; Becky McDonough, HPG Chamber.

Chamber Board Social

The H/PG Chamber Board gathered at Brown Edwards to warmly welcome our newest directors: Vincent Turner, Vice President of Operations at TriCities Hospital; Katelinn Davis, Director of Annual Giving and Donor Engagement at Richard Bland College; and Alexander Olivieri-Rodriguez, owner of Woodpeckers Plaques & Crafts.

We’re thankful for their willingness to serve. Contact the chamber if you are interested in serving on the board as the nominating committee is always recruiting for the next board members.

NVR/Ryan Homes Tour

Thank you to Ryan Martin and his team at NVR for hosting our first-ever Meet the Makers event at their Prince George factory! A diverse group of business owners, educators, Prince George County staff, Fort Lee partners and community members had the opportunity to tour the facility and see the process of building a Ryan Home firsthand. Attendees were truly impressed by the innovation, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that go into building each home.
