News and Updates
Hello from the new faces at PAA.  We are your new officers and are excited to be serving you. Please get to know us.
Karla Keese, President
Pam Crosby, President-Elect
Joan Kaiser, Treasurer
John Van Ness, Secretary
We have been busy planning new and exciting things for the group. With Gaby Pruitt stepping up as executive assistant, we have hit the ground running!

The first thing we all acknowledge is the excellent job done by Linda McCarley, Past President and Grace Tang, Past Treasurer. Linda and Grace excelled in their positions. All the past leadership of the Plano Art Association has given this team a firm foundation on which to operate. Thank you and we are glad your expertise is still a part of the Plano Art Association!
Announcing new PAA Members’ Facebook Group
This Group will be in addition to PAA’s public page. This members-only page will allow members to share their work with other members, get feedback and opinions, and interact with each other at any time.
Since this new group is private, you have to join. We will be sending out invitations to current members to join very soon. If you want to be part of this group and haven’t received an invitation, email Gaby Pruitt at gpruitt14@gmail.com . After accepting your invitation, you will be asked some questions and agree to the very few simple rules. Then wait for a message that you have been accepted. We are asking you to post art pieces and your website so that we can see your works. If you have a question that you think your fellow artists can answer, post that as well! And if you know the answer to a question that has been posted, please share your knowledge. Let’s help each other be creative!
PAA Online Exhibit Is Coming in August
Because the regularly scheduled 125 Show was a casualty of COVID-19, we are looking at an on-line exhibit in August. Expect to receive a call for art in July. We are still developing the format, but you can expect the picture of the works that you submit to be posted on line. The good news is that it can be a larger show than in the past. The particulars will be published in the call and in a later newsletter. Find some pieces that you want to show and get them photographed and ready to post.
Announcing New Digs!
We are still located in the Rail Station Studios and Gallery, but we now have a small gallery space. Come by and see us if you are getting out. Remember to wear a mask as we are still practicing social distancing. Stay tuned for further announcements on how we plan to use this space ! The address is 1013 15th Place, Plano 75075 in the Plano Downtown Arts District.

All of the above programs plus more are fully utilized

Amazon Smile
Did you know you can give money to the PAA just by using Amazon Smile. Instead of using the general Amazon website, sign on the Amazon Smile. Designate Plano Art Association as your charity and any purchases you make will have a small percentage of the Amazon profit go to the PAA instead. It is an easy way to give money and you pay the same price for the items on Amazon Smile as you would for the regular Amazon. Just think if all of our members (and maybe their family and friends) would do this as a habit. It would really help our budget.
The Plano Art Association is dedicated to encouraging the
visual arts development and education of the membership and community
, and inspiring awareness of the visual arts by sharing the joy, passion and beauty within and beyond our Plano community.
