We are so incredibly proud of you all! You're going out in to the world during a very unprecedented time, but we can be certain you will all do great things. This class of graduates are going far and wide on their next educational adventure. We have students going to Japan, the East Coast, the Midwest (2). Europe (4!), and several going to schools in our home state of California (8).
The spirit of adventure is alive and well in this class.

WSSD presented the first radio broadcast for the 12th Grade Play, Arsenic and Old Lace.
The play was chosen and adapted by 12th grade and featured original music, sound effects, and outstanding performances.

The field was transformed by some of the 7th Grade parents, who shared this beautiful sentiment:
"The greenery that is wrapping your tent is meant to be a hug, an offering from our school garden and the 7th grade families, chosen from the plants and trees that are rooted down from the very same piece of earth your children played upon, to the seeds they sowed, and the leaves and branches that grew alongside them, that stretched as far as their limbs. Take this hug and remember where their roots are planted."

The
'Mural of Transitions'
was brought to life on the "ball wall" by the 11th-grade class as a gift to the graduating Eighth and Twelfth-grade classes of 2020.
Each group of students are represented by the two stars, the eight-pointed in remembrance of the eighth grade and the twelve pointed star for the twelfth, while the central rose is a symbol for the traditional rose ceremony held at the twelfth-grade graduation each year.

Monique Marshall is a graduate of the Rudolf Steiner School of New York City, class of '86. A progressive elementary school educator who has been working with young children in independent schools for 29 years, she holds a B.S. in Education from Skidmore College and an M.Ed. from Bank Street in New York City. Monique is currently a teacher at Wildwood School in Los Angeles, the founder of the school's diversity group, co-chair of the parent diversity group, and a member of the school's Multicultural Leadership Team. She is on the board of Southern California, People of Color in Independent Schools, dedicated to supporting people of color in independent schools.

W.I.L.L.- Windows into Lifelong Learning Workshops and Ongoing Classes! During this pandemic, we are opening up our curriculum classes Online for parents, teachers, caregivers and friends to deepen their understanding of Waldorf education. More information to come.
Summer Courses are going to be offered Online as well and possibly the last week will be in person. That has yet to be determined. We want to meet in person but only if its safe to do so. As you know, things are changing daily and we are keeping abreast of the situation.
