A Message from the ASCE JAX Branch Board: | |
Summer is here and our Jax Branch is just getting warmed up!
Firstly, our inaugural 75th Branch Anniversary was an unforgettable evening brimming with laughter, applause, and surprises! The event was filled with well-deserved awards (as winners entered at stage left and exited at stage right), and we were surprised to receive a Proclamation from Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan, presented by the City of Public Works Director, Nina Sickler, declaring June 12th, 2026 as American Society of Civil Engineers 75th Anniversary Day. Special thanks to the Banquet Committee for putting in the extra work to make the night special for everyone and congratulations to all the winners.
Many of Jacksonville Branch's 2026 award winners have been nominated for the statewide ASCE Florida Section awards. Winners to be announced at the upcoming Section Conference Awards and Installation luncheon being held at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort on Friday, July 24th. We hope to see you all at the ASCE Florida Section Conference in Ft. Lauderdale! https://www.asceflconference.org/
Lastly, the 2026-2027 Board Member Elections are just around the corner! This August, keep an eye out for an email link to the nomination form for board positions in the ASCE Jacksonville Branch and the Younger Member Group. Joining the board is a fantastic way to grow your network, gain leadership experience, and advance your career as a civil engineer in Northeast Florida.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to see you at our upcoming events!
