IT'S COMING!

It's coming! The BEST Monday of the Year! Of course I'm speaking of the IREM Maryland Annual Charity Golf Tournament, and it is less than a month away! This will be our 28th tournament for charity and it is to be held on Monday, August 19th at the Hillendale Country Club. This year is shaping up to be another banner year for the tournament and we thank all of the golfers, sponsors and Golf Committee members who are making it possible for us to hold this wonderful event in support of charities making a positive impact around Maryland. This year we will be donating a total of $25,000 to the following five organizations:

In addition, at the tournament, we will be holding our school supplies drive for Landsdowne Elementary (please read the bottom of the newsletter for further details). While most of the tournament is booked, there are still options available for participation/sponsorship. Further details can be found here:   https://www.iremmd.org/events/irem-md-28th-annual-charity-golf-tournament. We look forward to seeing everyone in just a few weeks!

Need an Intern? UB Can Help! Interns

University of Baltimore's  Real Estate and Economic Development program provides students with a background in all aspects of the field particularly Property Management. One of the key ways that students can gain knowledge from industry professionals is through our internship program.
The Merrick School of Business  internship program is designed to augment classroom theory and to offer students opportunities to participate in carefully monitored, field-based learning experiences in organizations. The internship experience allows students to apply their education, gain experience in a particular field, and prepare for fulfilling careers.

Internships are typically part-time positions where students work at least 120 hours over the course of the semester. As interns, students gain valuable professional experience, and have the opportunity to earn academic credit.

Student may receive credit, and can even get paid for an internship. An internship should be related to students' academic and/or career interests. Many students consider internships as early as their sophomore year. This is also a great way for an organization to recruit entry-level talent.
If you are interested in providing an internship experience, please contact Seema Iyer, program director at  [email protected].
