Reaching Our World For Christ
From Your Associational Mission Strategist
I begin this article by praising the Lord for what He has been doing at our Summer Day camps. I can report to you that we had 19 girls at our Girl’s camp, and we had five pray to receive Christ. We had 13 boys at our Boy’s camp, and we had seven to receive Christ! As I write this article, we are beginning our Camp Discovery. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for this camp. Thank you for your prayers! God has been answering them!

In a few weeks, our HBA mission team to Pittsburgh will be leaving to work along side of Pastor James Hogan and the Faithbridge Community church. Please be in prayer for our team as are helping with a community outreach. God has been blessing Faithbridge and many people in the community have surrendered their lives to Christ and the church is growing. In fact, they are buying a bigger church building and hope to be in the building in August. Please pray for them and if any church feels led to make a contribution for their purchase, I know it would be greatly appreciated. You can mail it to the Association office and mark it Faithbridge Church building.

I want to ask each church to pray for our ministry teams as we have been meeting and looking at another three-year strategy for the association. I believe the future is crucial for the association and we have been seeking God as to how He would lead us to be more relevant and have a greater impact on our communities by encouraging greater cooperation among our churches. I have a greater burden for reaching our community and envision our churches getting the Gospel to every home! The Evangelism team is working on an effort where we will bring our churches together on a Saturday morning to pray and gather resources and then go into our communities and go door to door sharing the love of Christ. There will be more information about this great outreach in the next several weeks!

I appreciate each Pastor and every church in our association. There is no doubt we are living in a time where we can have the greatest impact on our communities by sharing the Gospel and helping people to see that there is hope and it is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ! May God continue to give us His passion for lost people every day!!
