Happy Summer!
Well, here we are, still going through the pandemic together. We have the Chamber office back open from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Tuesday-Friday with limited staff.

As we ponder all our Chamber activities and events, it might be a big shock that the 2021 Seafood & Wine Festival may not be the same event you’ve become accustomed to over the years. We know how much our community relies on the Chamber to host this event every year to help boost the local economy. With the great minds of many in the community, there have been some innovative ideas brought to the table for consideration. Our Festival Director, Bobbi Price, is diligently working on a new plan that will maintain the fun and rich spirit of Seafood & Wine while complying with the guidelines set forth by the State regarding large group gatherings and social distancing. I also want to acknowledge our Chamber staff for all the changes they have endured during this time as it has been a challenging time for them. We are working to keep things as normal as possible with lots of virtual meetings to complete our work these days. The Chamber staff misses all of you and can’t wait to be able to see you and serve you all in person again.

We are also currently at that time of year when many visitors come to the beach to visit and that can be hard on some of our members for a variety of reasons and perhaps even more so given the mandated restrictions we’re all undergoing due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Let us always remember, we are the friendliest, and we want and encourage our visitors to come back again when we fully reopen. Until the time comes to be able to see you all in person, please take all the extra precautions necessary to keep yourselves happy and healthy.
