Charles recently spent a few days at Gaston's White River Resort – which he highly recommends! Focus was on relaxing, not working. Cabin was a hundred yards from the White River on one side, and a beautiful grass airplane landing strip on the other. He now has a new goal - to fly himself there someday.

Charles also recently attended his 11th Smart Conference in Norfolk, Nebraska, presented by Wealth Management LLC.

The conference featured several presentations focused on helping clients achieve their financial and personal goals. A highlight of the event was “Overcoming Adversity,” presented by Phillip Koontz, a former Navy SEAL with combat experience. Mr. Koontz shared his perspective on how the discipline, resilience, and problem-solving skills developed through Navy SEAL training can be applied to challenges in everyday life.

Christi, her husband, and their 8-year-old daughter, Bella, recently traveled to Chicago with their older daughter, Brooke, for Loyola University Chicago's freshman orientation. The family took Amtrak to the city and loved the relaxing ride, especially being able to play games together and stroll to the snack car whenever they wanted.

While in Chicago, they made the most of the trip by visiting many of the city's iconic attractions. They enjoyed the breathtaking views from 360 Chicago, visited the famous Bean, explored Navy Pier, and spent time shopping along Michigan Avenue. One of the highlights for Bella was her very first visit to the American Girl store, where she picked out Julie as her birthday gift. She also loved spending time at Lake Michigan, playing in the sand and splashing in the surprisingly cold water.

Of course, no trip to Chicago would be complete without enjoying some great food. The family dined at several well-known restaurants, including Giordano's for Chicago's famous deep-dish pizza, Margaritaville at Navy Pier, and the historic Berghoff, giving them a taste of both classic and modern Chicago.



Orientation was a success, and Brooke is excited to begin her next chapter this fall as she starts college and embraces life in Chicago.
