Gambling 101 Webinar

Did you know?

Connecticut legalized sports betting and online gambling in

2021 which has resulted in an increase in gambling

addiction. By October 2022, calls and chats to the CT problem gambling hotline were up by 134% compared to October 2021.


Greenwich Together collaborated with the Stamford Prevention Council and Catalyst CT| The Hub to bring to you this informational webinar about the impact of problem gambling, and how

to help a loved one, family member, friend, or client.

It provides you with variety of local, regional, and

state-wide resources for problem gambling prevention,

CADCA Mid-Year Training Institute 2024

Greenwich Together members along with other local prevention leaders attended this year's Mid-Year Training institute in Chicago, Illinois. The Mid-Year Training Institute (MYTI) offers in-depth, interactive training sessions geared specifically for community coalition leaders and members. Bringing back our communities the latest research and prevention initiatives.

Dr. Jason Kilmer (Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine) shares insights on what’s really happening on college campuses. He and Richard Lucey (Senior Prevention Program Manager in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Community Outreach and Prevention Support Section) provide excellent guidance for all parents, aunts, and uncles of kids who are getting ready for this big transition, as well as the kids themselves.

Upcoming Events

Interested parties are invited to attend a virtual STOP Act Stakeholder Meeting for Public Comment on August 7, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM ET, hosted by the Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Prevention of Underage Drinking (ICCPUD). The agenda for this meeting will include an overview of the state of underage drinking in America, an overview of the 2023 ICCPUD Comprehensive Plan, discussion of the 2023 reports, and an update on ICCPUD community engagement activities and information on the ongoing Alcohol Intake and Health Study.
