We are hiring Case Managers in Utica, NY:

Case Manager:
Case Managers devote 100% of their time to specific grant populations depending on the grant requirements. Assists the Program Director by providing direct services including program recruitment and retention. Provides leadership training to participants as well as mentoring and support. Counsels individuals with meeting education and employment goals and with all employment related activities. Secures information such as education, skills and social factors contributing to the client’s situation and evaluate their needs. Assists the client with resumes, cover letters, job searches and interview preparation. Provides on the job support as needed once the individual becomes employed. Compiles records and complete case notes and reports. **Candidates with experience working with individuals that have disabilities are especially needed.

Leadership for Supervisors Training
Leadership for Supervisors Training

Back by popular demand, the Leadership for Supervisors Training has been scheduled for August in Oneonta, location to be announced. This is an in-person training and the dates of this training will be: Monday - August 15, Thursday - August 18, and Monday – August 22. All training sessions will be 9am – 12pm.

Donald Sheldon will be presenting this training. Mr. Sheldon is president of DHSheldon & Associates LLC, New York. He also is a lecturer at the School of Management at SUNY Binghamton University. Previous roles include Vice President of Global Quality and Six Sigma at the NCR Corporation in Dayton, Ohio; Vice President of Buker, Inc. a recognized leader in management education and training headquartered in Chicago. He has more than 40 years of materials management, manufacturing, and distribution management experience. Mr. Sheldon is published in numerous articles and journals and is author of several books including: Getting Value from Sales and Operations Planning, 2020 and World Class Sales and Operations Planning, J. Ross Publishing, 2006. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Business and Government Policies Studies and an undergraduate degree in Business Management and Economics from the State University of New York. He is certified by APICS as CPIM-F (Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management), as CIRM (Certified in Resource Management) and as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional). He is also a Six Sigma Blackbelt.
This training would be beneficial to entry-level supervisors and team Leaders. The training would be appropriate for individuals who have some experience in a supervisory role or who want to move into a supervisory role in the future.

This training usually has a price tag of $300 - $400, but CDO Workforce is offering the training to individuals and businesses for FREE. The Norwich CDO Workforce Center is holding in-person Recruitments for businesses that have job opportunities in Chenango, Delaware or Otsego County.

The Recruitments will take place on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. 

Job Seekers will be able to meet with the business to discuss openings and apply for positions.

Students will begin working on tiny house, modular home, or buildings this fall under the supervision of construction professionals meeting all code and regulations.
