The Starry Messenger is a dramatic, fun-filled adaptation of Galileo's short treatise Siderius Nuncius. Galileo (dressed in 17th century costume) will lecture on his most recent discoveries made using his newly devised spyglass. Throughout the presentation your esteemed scientists are actively involved in experiments and demonstrations, with ample time at the end for questions from curious onlookers.

Summer Movie - The Wild Robot | |

Don't forget to come by the library for your reading log. If you're doing Read and Bead, pick out a chain and brag tag too!
Kids (Ages 0-12): Read and Bead. Earn beads all summer long! Every 15 minutes earns you a bead. Save up your time to get bigger and cooler beads. After registering please stop by the library - starting on June 9th - to pick up your reading log, brag tag, and chain to start your read and bead necklace.
Tween (rising 4-6th graders): Choose your adventure: Read and Bead or a Tween Raffle. Earn beads by the minute or earn raffle tickets by the book! Put your tickets toward trying to win exciting prizes.
Teens (rising 7-12th graders): Teen Raffle. Earn a raffle ticket for each book you read to try and win prizes.
Adults (Ages 19+): For every book read, please fill out a raffle ticket to enter to win a prize basket.
All prizes are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Concert Film Series - Jazz on a Summer's Day | |

Jazz on a Summer's Day is a concert film set at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival in Newport, Rhode Island. The film features performances by Jimmy Giuffre, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Stitt, Anita O'Day, Dinah Washington, Gerry Mulligan, Chuck Berry, Chico Hamilton with Eric Dolphy, Louis Armstrong with Jack Teagarden, and Mahalia Jackson.
Registration is appreciated but not required. Light refreshments will be served.
