It's almost time for our annual Online Registration!

Be sure to check your email for important information regarding online registration on Monday, July 18th. All custodial guardians listed as the primary family contact will need to update Skyward with current information for their child(ren).

We’ll send multiple email reminders along with easy to use directions. Schools will provide computer access and support for families that need assistance with the process.

Over the past year, there has been no charge for breakfast and lunch for students due to a federal program as a response to COVID-19. This federal program expired at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.

That said, our district has made it a priority to continue offering this service to all of our families because we know how beneficial this has been in supporting our students and families. We are now able to offer free breakfast and lunch for all students across our district for the 2022-2023 school year.

WAWM Theater’s merged high school program was selected to perform in Skylight Music Theatre’s annual High School Musical Showcase this past May! This annual one-night event spotlights southeast Wisconsin’s brightest high school performers and recognizes the excellent quality of fine arts entertainment provided to the community.

On May 24, cast members from WAWM Theater’s productions of All Together Now! and The SpongeBob Musical took the “show on the road”. They traveled downtown to Skylight Music Theatre where they participated in a quick run-through of each musical selection before getting into costume for the performance.

Jordan Pollard, director of The SpongeBob Musical recalls, “You could hear and sense our students’ excitement when they first walked into Skylight’s Cabot Theatre. It was wonderful to showcase all their hard work once again, and having the opportunity to perform on a professional stage is an experience I’m sure they’ll remember for years to come!”

“Our students were well represented along with several other high schools in a joint celebration of the return of live theater. The students were thrilled to meet fellow thespians and show off their talent on the beautiful Hunchback of Notre Dame set,” noted All Together Now! Director Scott Girmscheid.

Melanie Morreau, a recent graduate of West Allis Central, participated in both musical productions this past year. “I felt extremely grateful to have been invited to perform on a professional stage, and the experience Skylight provided for us was so welcoming, and made us feel professional, too. Being able to perform one more time with the casts from this year was so heartwarming, and I feel like it gave us a deeper connection to each other to perform again at such a great place.”

A video of the event can be found here.
