Hello Trinity Community!
I hope the Summer Season is treating you well! The beautiful weather and blooming landscapes during this time of year are some of my favorite things about living in New England. As we enter into the warmest months of the year, the worship team plans to hold our weekly Sunday services in the downstairs Fellowship Hall for July and August.
You can expect a more casual style of worship with hymns and praises accompanied by an electric keyboard, as well as some special music presentations scattered through the weeks. We encourage everyone to “come-as-you-are” and join us for worship and fellowship.
Because the Summer months are considered “ordinary times” for our liturgical year, the themes for worship will vary from week to week. Special Music, and worship themes are still being selected. If you have any requests or want to be involved with a service, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
For our Fellowship Hall services, we will not be using any slideshow projections. This will make it difficult for us to include new music; therefore, I am opting to not select a new song for our Song of the Month.
Instead, we will be opening our service with a short anthem from our Chalice Hymnal (“In the Name of the Lord” - #28). You can hear an example of how we will sing it HERE, but if you want a real treat, you should take 5 minutes and listen to Sandi Patty sing her original version HERE.
I want to give a special thanks to Pam Jones for filling in for me and supporting the music for worship in my absence and for sharing your piano skills with our congregation. On July 19th, will be away again, but cannot yet announce the plan for how the music will be supported. If we host another substitute, I know you will be the amazing welcoming community you always are.
Thank you for your continued support of our music ministry and for helping make worship meaningful each week. I hope you enjoy a season of rest, renewal, and connection, and I look forward to worshiping with you throughout the summer.
Until We Meet Again,
