Connect on Common Ground

We invite all municipalities, First Nations and beneficiaries of funding from Sask Lotteries to recognize Parks and Recreation Month this June! Designating June as Parks and Recreation Month is one small way to celebrate the benefits of parks and outdoor recreation spaces.

We’re encouraging people in Saskatchewan to Connect on Common Ground this summer and celebrate the inclusiveness and diversity of our parks and outdoor recreation spaces. We want people from all walks of life to connect outside with their families and friends in parks and recreation spaces.
Lifesaving Society Canada is gearing up for National Drowning Prevention Week 2024! National Drowning Prevention Week (NDPW) is a week of media and public awareness events focused on drowning prevention. It takes place in mid-July each year when drowning rates are highest in Canada. This year, NDPW 2024 will take place from July 21-27, 2024. NDPW 2024 will also include World Drowning Prevention Day on July 25, 2024.

A little info about the session:
Canada Council for the Arts Program Officers, Marty Ballentyne and Michael Peterson will speak about the opportunities available to all artists through the Explore and Create program, as well as opportunities available to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis artists through the Creating, Knowing and Sharing program.
There is no cost for the session, and all are welcome to attend.
Registration is now open for Saskatchewan organizers to add their interactive arts, culture, or heritage experiences to the nationwide network of free events, presentations, activities, workshops, and more happening during Culture Days 2024.

Registering an event allows you to take advantage of free promotional campaigns while also supporting artists and creators in your community. Organizers ready to register an event/activity can sign in or create an account by visiting the Culture Days website.
