July 2022-Orange County Updates

The Orange County Workforce Housing Development is well underway with 6 houses currently under roof and four officially have been sold!

The next workforce housing update will be July 22nd with an announcement about the upcoming open house on House #5, the first two-story home.

The housing development was recently toured by our very own Lt. Gov. Crouch.

The visit was to honor Home Ownership Month in the state of Indiana!

Radius and our partner local economic development organizations have been promoting the use of the Economic Gardening program for locally-based companies that are growing in our region. Economic gardening is a program that is designed to help small companies improve their market intelligence and online presence to help them grow.

The Paoli Chamber of Commerce has began a quarterly Meet & Eat for business owners and chamber members to network and connect. 

The next Meet & Eat will be on September 8th. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for more details to come.

OCEDP's Executive Director Kristal Painter presented to the 2022 Community Leadership Program. 

The topic was all things Economic Development in Orange County. 

We love seeing members of our community get involved and learn more about what is going on in our wonderful county!

On June 11th The Town of Paoli Hosted a Ribbon Cutting for the Court Street Pub Grand Opening on the Downtown Paoli Square!


OCEDP is happy to see new business owners breath life into our downtown communities.

Orleans Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Orleans hosted a ribbon cutting for El-Compadre's newest establishment in Orleans. 


The eatery is owned by Roy and Lupe Perez. OCEDP is happy to have them join our historic downtown in Orleans.

Future ServSafe Training


In May OCEDP along with Ivy Tech hosted a ServSafe two day training course. There were 12 attendees in the class making it personable and a laid-back learning environment. 


OCEDP is interested in hosting another training session in the near future. Stay tuned for a future date along with more information.

Orleans Saturday  Farmer's Market is located on Congress Square each Saturday from 8am to 12 noon.

The Ole Show Barns Farmers Market will be every Saturday in June, July and August from 9:30-2.
