Outdoor Yoga



We have extended our partnership with One to One Fitness to continue offering Outdoor Yoga every Thursday from 12-1 pm through the end of August. Class takes place on the green space just south of One to One Fitness - bring a mat, water, and some sunscreen! All levels are welcome.

The Work Happiness Method 


Join Positive Psychology expert Stella Grizont for this 8-week series to learn how to be happier and more satisfied at work. Stella's evidence-based, energetic and supportive approach has helped many individuals identify a clear vision for their professional path and a plan to move forward. This program will include weekly live training sessions, pre and post series assessments, weekly worksheets, access to class recordings and gentle email and text reminders to help participants stay on track.

Beat the Heat Bootcamp


An exercise class for all the early risers! This 45-minute, in person bootcamp will utilize bodyweight strength and cardio movements to sweat before it gets too hot out! All levels are welcome and modifications to adjust to your fitness level are available.


Class will be held on Tuesdays from 7-7:45am at the green space just south of One to One Fitness in front of parking lot 53.


The Veale Center has showers that are accessible for all CWRU faculty and staff to use after the camp.

Planning for Healthy & Sustainable Catering at CWRU

Eating nutritious food while paying attention to current sustainability practices is a great way to foster health and well-being for all and to encourage a flourishing campus. Learn more about healthy catering considerations and sustainability practices in this catered two-part presentation series offered by the Office of Sustainability and the University Wellness Program. If you regularly order catering on campus, please join us to learn more about making catering choices that are healthy for people and the planet!

Sustainability Event & Catering Practices at CWRU


Stephanie Corbett, Director of Sustainability, will discuss CWRU's recycling, waste and composting processes and procedures and a customized green event checklist to help those on campus who order catering reduce event waste. Reducing waste helps reduce the University's carbon footprint. Stephanie will also share some information on local food and offer suggestions on talking with area catering companies about local food on the menu. Lunch is provided!

Healthy Catering at CWRU



Providing nutritious food options for campus community events is important to maintain a culture of health and well-being within the university. Learn more about healthy food choices for your next faculty/staff event from Maureen Pisanick, RD, LD, President of Pisanick Partners LLC. In this evidence-based presentation, information pertinent to our most frequently used catering vendors will be shared. A healthy and nutritious lunch will be offered to all faculty and staff attendees.

Chair Massage


Massage is not just a luxury but an important component of helping our bodies to recover from the stressors of exercise or desk bound posture. We are partnering with One to One Fitness to offer two days of 13 minute chair massage appointments.


Massages are $15 and registration is required; all appointments will take place in Crawford 209. You can see available time slots, pay for your massage, and reserve your massage below!

Community Connection - Appreciative Joy


Attend this month’s event to learn a bit about appreciative joy and expand your connections with others on campus. Our Community Connection events are offered to build relationships across all areas of the university, between staff and faculty, so that we can forge stronger ties and expand our individual and collective well-being.

Reflection Point


Reflection Point brings professor-led literature seminars to workplaces and community settings to build confidence, critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity. Over the course of 12 weeks, the group will discuss three different books. Through shared narratives, Reflection Point encourages and nurtures work cultures rooted in trust, open dialogue and strong social connection – all critical elements of wellbeing.

Walktober Returns!

The annual 31-day physical activity challenge will be returning this October! Keep an eye out for a registration notice in our September newsletter.


Walktober will take participants on a virtual tour of autumn's most vibrant landscapes and help to instill physical activity as a priority habit!
