Go Gold: 4-Week Challenge

Get excited for the Summer Games by participating in Go Gold — a new physical activity challenge with an Olympics theme. To celebrate the 2024 Olympics in Paris, Go Gold traces the international sports spectacle’s evolution, from ancient Greeks through modern day. Participants can track physical activity right in the platform or with an activity tracking device/app and will experience progress by exploring 7 distinct eras of Olympic competition. And you’re not limited to walking; activities like swimming, cycling, yardwork and more automatically convert to steps so everyone can participate in Go Gold. Aim for bronze, silver, or gold medals while climbing the podium to better health and fitness. Learn more and get a sneak preview via this Go Gold video.

Sign up now, and you can download the Go Gold app, form a team (optional), add friends, and browse recipes while you wait for the challenge to kick off. Participate actively throughout the 4 weeks and you'll be entered into a prize raffle at the end!

Monday, July 15 - Sunday, Aug. 11. Registration and team formation close July 19.

As a bonus, we will host additional activities to get you moving during the challenge, including a Zumba session and an outdoor obstacle course! You won't want to miss out on the fun.

Go Gold is open to benefits-eligible faculty and staff only. Participation in Go Gold can count toward earning a Wellness Program Incentive in the Physical Activity category. Visit our Physical Activity web page for additional details on how to earn this incentive.

Seasons of Self-Care: Summer

The Seasons of Self-Care program consists of 4 rounds of 4-5 sessions, with each round focusing on a different season of the year. Having participated in the first two rounds offered this year, Winter and Spring, is not a requirement to participate in the Summer round, but we will encourage participants to view the recorded sessions from the previous rounds if they have not already. Participation in at least two rounds is necessary to earn a Stress Management Wellness Program Incentive.

Engage in the season that invites us to celebrate life in rhythm with the outdoors with your instructor, Heidi Weiker. We shared a Winter of sacred rest and a Spring of gentle reawakening. Now, nature calls us to the outside so that we can expand our self-care practices ‘under the summer sky.’ Be inspired: to realize the natural light of all imperfection; to reclaim (or claim for the very first time) the exuberance, lightness, and playfulness of our summer days and nights; and to regenerate and radiate a sense of awe and hope.
