Yoga Series

Our two virtual yoga series will be continuing, both via Zoom - see below for more details:

Mindful Movement

Join Julie Schlemmer on Weds. for an hour of gentle yoga flows and poses that help to open up hips and counteract the effects of sitting at a desk all day. All levels are encouraged and modifications are always available.

The next 8-week series of Mindful Movement will begin July 20th at 12pm.

Vinyasa Flow

Mary Laura Bowers will continue with our yoga practice on Monday evenings. In this 8-week period, we will build upon poses and flows learned in previous series. Some yoga experience is recommended, but questions and modification requests are always welcome.

The next 8-week series of Vinyasa Flow will begin July 25th at 5:30pm.

Functional Nutrition

In this popular class from the Wellness Program, CWRU Nutrition faculty and Registered Dietitian Lindsay Malone will enhance your knowledge of gut health, nutrient deficiencies, prevention of cognitive decline, food sensitivities, meal planning and more as it relates to your lifestyle and health goals. Food is medicine, nourishing our bodies and souls - every bite is a new opportunity to feel healthier and happier!

Functional Nutrition is an 8-week series and will take place via Zoom.

Tuesdays from 12-1pm beginning July 19th.

Group Strength Training

Join One to One Fitness staff every Thursday evening for an in-person strength training class where we will utilize dumbbells, kettlebells, TRX, and our own body weight to strengthen and tone large muscle groups. All levels are welcome and beginners are encouraged to sign up!

You do not need to be a 121 member to participate. Space is limited to 20 participants and we are encouraging only those who will be able to make most sessions to sign up.

Group Strength Training will be offered every Thursday from 5:30-6:15pm at 121 Fitness Center from July 14th - September 1st.

Interested in an in-person strength training class but can't make this time frame? Let Zach know at zxb111@case.edu.

Critics often argue that a plant-based diet is too expensive...is this actually true? By popular demand, we are diving into how to eat a whole food, plant-based diet on a budget! Whether you are a prince or a pauper, you can enjoy the benefits of the diet that science shows optimizes our health and reduces our risk of dying prematurely. Join us for a two-part presentation:

  • Plant-Based on a Budget - 30 minutes with Executive Director Brian Hart, M.Ed
  • Budget-Minded Cooking Demo - 30 minutes with Ann and Jane Esselstyn

This one-time presentation will take place on Thursday July 14th from 12-1p.
