June 30, 2021
Dear friends,
As many of you read in last Friday's newsletter and heard during Sunday's announcements, I am happy to say we are ready to transition from pre-recording worship to streaming our 9 a.m. Bethell Hall service starting Sunday, July 4.
July Worship Schedule
Starting in July, we will offer four in-person worship services each Sunday:
-
8 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite II, service in the Historic Church, without music,
-
9 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite II, service in Bethell Hall, with music (this service will also be livestreamed and available online),
-
11:15 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite II, service in the Historic Church, with music, and
-
8 p.m. Choral Compline service in the Historic Church.
Pre-registering to save a seat to any of our worship services is no longer required.
Keep in mind that the worship schedule will continue to change as we get the Historic Church livestream equipment up and running. You can expect the schedule of worship to be updated again beginning in August, so please continue to check your email, social media, and our website regarding worship.
Children's Chapel and Church Childcare
Sunday, June 27, was the last online Children's Chapel. Starting July 11, church childcare will be available every Sunday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for children ages 2 months through 3 years of age. The location is the same as in the past, first floor, room #115. Temperature checks and a brief health form will be required. For more information please contact Laura Lancaster Faulk at [email protected].
Sunday Morning Lectures
Coffee and Shopping
We will continue to offer coffee and sweets through our Holy Grounds Shop and hope you will take advantage of the delicious items and/or books to purchase while you are visiting us on Sundays.
COVID-19 Protocol Updates
Beginning July 1, we will adjust to follow the CDC and city guidelines regarding the use of masks. As we continue to gather for worship in large groups, masks are only required for those who are NOT fully vaccinated; however, we still strongly encourage the continued use of masks.
While many in our congregation have been vaccinated, there are still others, including the youngest in our congregation and those who are immunocompromised, who have not or cannot receive it. If the act of wearing masks can relieve even just a bit of angst of gathering for worship for those who are vulnerable or for parents of those who are vulnerable, it is in the collective interest of the community that we do so.
We also strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated if you are able. Social distancing protocols will remain in place.
Again, thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we continue to work our way back to normal and re-gather safely at St. David’s.
I hope to see you all on Sunday!
Peace,
