Protecting Your Skin:

UV Safety Tips for Summer

Spending time outdoors is one of the best parts of summer—but too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays can lead to skin damage, premature aging, and increased risk of skin cancer. UV rays are strongest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., even on cloudy days.

Here are a few simple ways to stay safe:

  • Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and reapply every 2 hours.
  • Cover up with long sleeves, wide-brimmed hats, and sunglasses that block UV rays.
  • Seek shade when possible, especially during peak sun hours.
  • Avoid tanning beds, which also expose you to harmful UV radiation.

Taking steps to protect your skin today can make a big difference for your health in the future.

Mental Health Matters

Helping to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

Staying Mentally Well in the Summer Heat

While summer is a time for fun, sun, and outdoor activities, it can also bring challenges for mental health—especially when high temperatures and busy schedules start to wear us down. Prolonged heat can lead to irritability, fatigue, and even symptoms of anxiety or depression.

Here are a few ways to stay mentally well during the hot summer months:

  • Stay hydrated and rested – Dehydration and poor sleep can heighten stress.
  • Take breaks from the heat – Seek out cool, quiet spaces when you need to recharge.
  • Stick to a routine – Keeping a consistent sleep and meal schedule can help regulate mood.
  • Stay connected – Make time for positive social interactions, even brief check-ins with friends or family.

Mental health matters in every season. Call us to schedule an appointment or book online—your path to feeling better can start today.
