PRESIDENT'S CORNER
Hello fellow Alamo Ranchers

Hope everyone had a safe and fun fourth of July.

At the meeting last week I made the announcement about the upcoming Alamo Ranch VIA Metro station. The proposed area is the 16 acres behind Starbucks. It will be a major project and will affect our community directly. I've reached out to VIA and our county commissioner to get more information and to set up a townhall for late July or early August so be on the lookout for that.

If you are experiencing car breakins please call the sheriff's department and report it. If there are more reports we may have more of a Sherrifs presence out here. Also, if you live in a non gated grant and see a street light out contact CPS Energy at 210-353-2222. or if you think there should be an extra light you call Bexar county public works 210-335-6700.

The next board meeting is July 24th at 6pm and as always I'm availble by email for any questions or comments.

Association President
The Alamo Ranch Community Association is seeking a Committee Chair to lead and recruit members of the VNAC. The ideal goal is to have 2 members from each Grant Community on the committee.
The VNAC will interface with the Board of Directors to provide information and organize volunteer efforts on behalf of the Community Association. This committee will meet mainly, if not entirely, online in virtual discussions regarding the current state and future of the community & offer ideas and suggestions to the board of directors that will benefit the community as a whole.
From your Manager

  • When moving the Adirondack chairs around the kiddie pool, please be sure that you do not sit or set them on the drain covers located in and around the kiddie pool. The covers will break, and we currently need to replace two.

  • Due to this crazy heat, the Social Committee has decided to wait until the fall to have movie nights at the park. This series will take place October, November, & December.

  • The Monument Landscape project was delayed, but they will begin demo the week of July 17th

  • The fence replacement along La Villita Way continues. We have about 3 weeks or so left to finish Williams Grant. They will cross the street and had back the other way. Please keep an eye out for an email the week prior to your fence being done. All fences (exterior only) will be stained once the entire project is completed.

  • The approved greenbelt cleanup project began today (7/5) behind Edward Conrad. This will have a crew out clearing a 3-4' buffer from the fence line and removing brush and tree limbs that may be leaning on the fence. In most cases, the removed debris will be moved into the greenbelt, and in some cases, it will be removed from the area. There are roughly 6 miles of greenbelt area. I am estimating this project to take roughly 4-5 weeks, depending on the weather and the amount of debris needing to be removed in the different areas. These are our first sections to be completed, and I do not have specific dates for when they will reach sections 2 &3 at this time.
  • Section 1- Turquoise
  • Section 2- Pink
  • Section 3- Green
Community Townhall details and date to be determined. The board is looking at the end of July beginning of August.
We will keep you updated.
Pool monitors will be enforcing the check-in procedures on Saturdays & Sundays from 11am-9pm. And will continue each weekend until Labor Day. Please follow the check-in procedures below and remember to be kind to the monitor.

Please note that the "pool monitor" is only onsite to verify residency and amenity access. They are not here to handle unruly visitors. Please ensure you and your family and guests are following the pool rules and being respectful of others while visiting the amenities. Failure to do so can result in a loss of privileges for the pool season.

If there are issues with your account or access, you will need to contact the Association office during office hours, the monitor will not have any information about your account. If you have not set up your amenity access, you will need to take care of that during office hours.

**Reminder** If you are past due on your assessments, per the Pool Use Guidelines, everyone has signed and Sec 10.2 b of the DCCRs, your access will be suspended until your account is brought current. Until your payment is verified by the office, you will not have access, please contact the office to inform us you've brought your account current.
Don't have time to go shopping or to stop by the amenity center? No problem, have your items sent directly to us with the Amazon wish list link below! Thank you!
