Announcements

The Library Board needs the time, talents, and skills of LaGrange residents to ensure the Library’s success as a vital resource in the community. The work is rewarding and the impact is great!

For more information, please contact Ginnie Genovese, trustee and Board Nominating Chair, at gingen424@gmail.com.

We are once again partnering with United Way Dutchess-Orange for their Back to School Supply Drive! All month long, we'll be collecting donations of new or gently used school supplies, to help give every child the chance to succeed!

All supplies can be dropped off at the library during normal business hours.

To learn more about United Way an their mission, click here.

Come take a virtual tour to parts of the library most patrons never get to see!

Visit our website to view a short video where you can join LaGrange Association Library President, Suzanne Davis, and Library Director, Anna Lillian Moser, as they show exactly what's planned for the library's Phase 3 Renovation Project!

Upcoming Program Highlights

America’s democracy is based upon the freedoms of speech and religion as part of its cornerstone. Join us with Alex Prizgintas as he presents “Patriotism, Praise, and Protest” as part of the vital fabric that weaves our differences into our distinct strength. Key hymns, noble anthems of patriotism, and tunes of solidarity, as well as resistance, make this a delightful program to celebrate our nation’s 250th year!

Wednesday, July 22nd at 6:00 p.m.

For adults.

Be sure to register here.

In honor of this year’s Summer Reading theme, “Unearth a Story,” we’re hosting an after-hours screening of Jurassic Park, complete with snacks, drinks, and maybe a special surprise treat! Bring a blanket and/or pillow for maximum comfort! Please plan to arrive on time to get your snacks and find a seat, as the movie will start promptly at 6:15pm.

Snacks will be limited and served on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please make the library aware of any dietary restrictions and/or allergies at the time of registration. Jurassic Park is rated PG-13, which means that it has been rated safe for teens, but not for younger kids.

Thursday, July 16th | 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

For teens grades 6-12.

Registration not required.

Mohonk Preserve is bringing life to the library!

Meet aquatic insects, mollusks, amphipods, annelids, and zooplankton and their predators!  Interact with them, observe them, and classify them.  Learn how they live and interact in their underwater environment.

This amazing program will get us all thinking about the importance of clean water and the environment!

This is a drop-off program. Adult caretakers must remain in the library during the duration of the program.
